Event Fundraising Campaign
Community Project
Background
As part of the global day of action for Iranians, three U.S. cities have been chosen for demonstrations: Los Angeles on the West Coast, Washington D.C. on the East Coast, and Chicago in the Midwest. However, organizers have faced a shortage of funds to host the event just ten days before it is scheduled to take place.
• Iranians all over the midwest.
• To raise the required funds to run the event.
• To promote the event and maximize the participation.
• To raise awareness on the issue in the local communities.
• Different groups inside any community will cooperate better, if there is a mutual gain, or if they are involved in the event.
• The short 10-days window to raise the required funds
• To promote the event and maximize the participation.
• Involving a representative from each community group as a guest speaker to create interest and a sense of belonging.
• Creating emotional triggers and a sense of urgency for acting quick.
• A 2 sequence email campaign reaching the audience 1 week, and 1 day before the event.
• A video ad on Facebook, Instagram, and telegram community groups to promote the event.
• A fundraising campaign on Gofundme.com with a list of required expenses.
Campaign Overview
This campaign aims to promote the event to Iranians throughout the Midwest and raise the necessary funds to cover its costs. Through a promotional video, email outreach, and a fundraising campaign, we successfully gathered hundreds of people at the Congress Plaza in downtown Chicago.
